Provide assistance to the Mortgage Closing Supervisor, including supervising and training of 1-4 family loan Closing staff. Ensure TRID, investor, and other appropriate compliance requirements are met for loan closing documentation.Compensation & BenefitsTargeted starting compensation range is based on location and experience: $xx - $xxIncentive and commission compensation may be awarded for eligible rolesComprehensive employee benefits, including: medical, dental, vision, LTD, STD and lifePaid vacation time, sick time, personal days, paid volunteer time and 11 company paid holidays401k (up to 4% match with immediate vesting)Tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 annually (minimum service requirement)Read more about these and additional benefits at:Essential FunctionsAssist Manager in overseeing the daily activities of loan closing staff and provide training for initial closing file set-up in Encompass through initial CD and closing document preparation.Assist Manager with staffing issues, such as interviews, hiring, performance appraisals, and salary recommendations.Assist in monitoring workload assignments for loan closing department to ensure the most efficient use of resources and to make sure department deadlines are met daily, weekly and monthly.Responsible for ensuring loans for closing have correct loan security documents, shipping documents, calculating pro-rated taxes and/or assessments as needed per specific loan programs.Assist in the review of weekly and monthly reports due to QA and/or Internal Audit reports and distributing to the appropriate staff.Assist in training new employees as well as keeping the existing loan closing staff informed of changes and updates in closing procedures. Work closely with Manager to identify training issues. Prepare loans for closing (in-house and outside closings) by composing and preparing commitment letters, loan security documents, shipping documents, calculating pro-rated taxes and annual percentage rates as needed as a back-up to existing closing staff.Responsible for complying with, and ensuring staff follows, policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.QualificationsHigh School Diploma/G.E.D.Experience Required4 or more years of experience in mortgage closingSkills & KnowledgeAdvanced knowledge of closing processes and systems, including Encompass, Jack Henry, OnBase boarding system, and the wire system/process.Possess strong organizational, problem solving, research, decision making, written and verbal communication, and customer service skills with the ability to work within defined timeframes and make deadlines. Ability to work independently or as part of a team, set priorities and handle multiple tasks.Advanced knowledge of 1-4 family loan closings, including FHA, VA, Conventional, Construction, Jumbo, Investor, and Lot loans.Proficient in MS Office products with the ability to learn new software applications. Knowledge of general business methods and techniques. Possess strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to exercise good judgment, accept responsibility, and handle confidential information in a secure manner. Demonstrated ability to supervise a team.Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to real estate closing.
