Job Overview:

The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. The technician delivers telemetry to inpatient units and performs monitor connection/discharge, patient preparation, and teaching related to the monitor.

Qualifications:

Required:

High school graduate or equivalentBLS for Healthcare Provider certification required

Preferred:

Telemetry and/or successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia course preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

Flex ScheduleCoverage for day, evening and weekend shifts
