THIS IS A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT POSITION

* Full Time - 40 hrs/week (8 hr shifts)

* Evening and Night Shift rotation (3pm-11:30pm and 11:00pm-7:30am)

The Monitor Technician promptly and accurately identifies, documents, and communicates information on the cardiac rhythm status of patients being monitored to the registered nurse and the physician. Serves as the first point of contact for a monitored patient's call button. Appropriately demonstrates a sense of urgency. The Monitor Technician supports positive patient, family, and staff relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

BLS / Heartsaver

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent GED.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in health care as Paramedic, EMT, Unit Clerk, Healthcare Clerical Associate, Unit Secretary, Nurse Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Computer literacy.

Previous experience in a specialty area.
