Could This Be For You?Fillauer Motion Control is hiring a Molding Technician in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Molding Technician assembles and tests mechanical assemblies and performs duties as assigned in cross functional areas, with low level of supervision necessary.
Your Impact Effectively runs an injection molding machine.Performs operations of plastic injection molding machine using a variety of different plastics, including starting up and shutting down machine.Deflashing of parts to ensure good functionality and appearance.Follow MP to ensure tolerances are within guidelines, including using vernier calipers along with digital measuring tools.Work with quality control.Troubleshoot problems with equipment.Responsible for the quality of work, cosmetic appearance, and function of molded parts.Maintains a neat and orderly production area along with others in the department.May be cross trained, and asked to perform tasks, in areas peripheral to immediate responsibilities such as filing documents or incoming inspection of parts.Performs related duties as required or assigned.Performs essential functions of job with or without reasonable accommodation. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Familiarity with assembly drawings.Ability to use calipers and other measuring tools.Ability to use hand and simple power tools.Ability to use micromoters, test indicators and measurement calipers.Willingness to learn and be cross-trained into areas of higher complexity.Attention to detail.Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.Preferred Qualifications
Injection molding machine experience.A minimum of 1 year molding machine experience.Basic computer data entry skills.
