Mold Technician
We have an outstanding career opportunity for aMold Technicianto join a leading Company located inHavre De Grace, MD. Salary: $41,600 - $62,400 Shift: 6:45am - 3:15pm We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mold Technician to perform both preventive maintenance (PM) and repair work on aluminum boot molds used in rotary injection molding machines. This hands-on role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a clean, organized mold storage area. The Mold Technician will also track mold inventory and ensure molds are always in good working condition to support production demands. Job Responsibilities: + Perform preventative maintenance and repair of aluminum boot molds used in rotary injection molding. + Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds to ensure readiness for production. + Troubleshoot and repair minor mold damage using shop tools and equipment. + Maintain mold inventory records and track usage, repairs, and replacement s. + Ensure 5S standards are maintained in the mold storage area. + Operate and maintain shop equipment such as milling machines, surface grinders, and welders. + Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and production team to prioritize mold availability and minimize downtime. + Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times. + Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to mold care and mold change processes. Basic Hiring Criteria: + High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical/vocational training preferred. + Minimum 2 years of experience in mold maintenance or related mechanical trade. + Knowledge of rotary injection molding preferred. + Proficient in the use of milling machines, surface grinders, welding, and related shop equipment. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams is a plus. + Basic computer skills for logging maintenance records and inventory. + Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
