Mold Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Mold Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Join a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining high-quality mold operations. As a Mold Maintenance Technician, you will perform preventive maintenance, ensure precision in tooling and fixtures, and contribute to continuous improvement projects. Your role is vital in maintaining the efficiency and quality of our production processes. **Responsibilities** + Perform work within the preventive maintenance program once a mold is finished running or after a certain number of cycles. + Wash mold with safety solvent to remove varnish and build-up from the molding process. + Replace bent, worn, or broken injector pins and inspect ejector system for proper alignment. + Check and replace worn leader pins, bushings, and all bearing moving surfaces as required. + Clean and lubricate moving components to prevent corrosion and wear. + Drain and inspect water lines for blocked flow and leaks. + Inspect mold cavity surface for wear or erosion and polish as required. + Fit, assemble, and tighten all bolts, clamps, and plates to specification. + Make repairs to hot runners and nozzles as needed. + Maintain consistent and effective component cleaning and storage. + Coordinate the Mold PM off-shift schedule and document activities by mold. + Escalate tool issues by sharing information with the Operations Manager. + Make recommendations to continuously improve projects, molds, and fixtures. + Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures, regulations, and using personal protective equipment (PPE). + Utilize and abide by ISO requirements. + Verify settings by measuring positions and adhering to standards per process books. + Maintain equipment and work tools through regular cleaning and light maintenance. + Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions. + Accomplish organization goals by exploring opportunities for job improvements. + Update job knowledge by participating in training and educational opportunities. **Essential Skills** + Mechanically inclined with experience in injection mold machines and molding processes. + Ability to troubleshoot molding machinery and perform light electrical work if necessary. + Proficient knowledge in tool assembly and ability to read and interpret manufacturing and tooling prints. + Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. + Self-motivated and willing to work overtime when necessary. + Knowledge in the use and application of precision measuring instruments. + Ability to perform basic math computations and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED preferred. + Advanced mechanical, machining, and troubleshooting skills related to injection molding or wax molding. + Conceptualization and reasoning skills to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a supportive and engaging work environment with holiday bonuses, a great benefits package, and opportunities for company outings. We serve multiple industries, including aerospace, medical, transportation, and more, ensuring diverse and challenging projects. Join a third shift team of 22 people, including working supervisors, in an environment equipped with precision tools and technology. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of North Royalton, OH. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
