This is a 1st shift opportunity with pay up to $29/hr.! As a Mold Tool and Die Builder, you'll play a crucial hands-on role in building and assembling custom molds and dies in a medium, lean, and efficient shop where every contribution counts. Working closely with CNC machinists, you'll interpret blueprints, operate various tools, and ensure precise, high-quality results. The position offers less repetitive, high-variation work within a tight-knit culture, strong leadership, and ongoing training, perfect for those who value craftsmanship, variety, and career growth.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications before production Hands-on work assembling, modeling, and finishing both raw and finished materials with precision and care. Engage in Client-up, rolling, forming, and assembly of fiberglass components Carefully read and follow assembly instructions to ensure parts meet engineering specs and customer standards, while upholding quality control. Rotate between CNC operation and assembly work, handling parts, molds, and dies and prioritize time for the customerRequirements
High school diploma or GED required. Technical certification or vocational training a plus. Familiarity with mold and die fabrication, assembly fixtures, heavy machinery. Skilled in using rotary and power tools such as routers, drills, saws, grinders, and presses. Experienced with overhead cranes, forklifts, presses, and handling chemicals while using proper PPE. Mechanically inclined, hands-on builder Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints/drawings. Proficient in basic computer skills (including Microsoft Office). Ability to overhead cranes, forklifts, hand tools, and perform assembly work.What's in it for you?
