We are seeking an experienced Modular Process Skid Design Engineer (Piping) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and delivery of custom modular process skids, from initial concept development through detailed engineering and vendor coordination. You will apply a multi-disciplinary approach—integrating process, mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, and instrumentation design principles—to deliver innovative, efficient, safe, and cost-effective skid-mounted solutions that meet industry standards and client expectations.
This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects across industries such as Chemical, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, and Green Energy / Energy Transition, where modular skid solutions play a crucial role in operational efficiency and plant optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with process engineers and other key disciplines to understand project requirements, process specifications (PFDs, P&IDs), and operational needs.
Develop conceptual designs for modular process skids with emphasis on space optimization, maintainability, transportability, and project cost-effectiveness.
Conduct feasibility studies, evaluate design options, and provide technical input during project development and vendor interactions.
Translate process requirements into detailed engineering designs, coordinating across multiple disciplines to ensure design integrity and consistency.
Process Design Support: Assist process engineers in line sizing, material selection, and equipment integration for skid-mounted systems.
Piping Design: Develop and review comprehensive 3D piping layouts, isometric drawings, GA drawings, pipe support designs, and Bills of Materials (BOM). Ensure designs reflect updates from stress analysis and comply with project codes.
Review and approve detailed vendor drawings, track document submittals, and expedite vendor deliverables to meet project schedules.
Ensure all designs are compliant with international codes, standards, and regulations (ASME, API, ISO, and relevant local safety standards).
Provide technical guidance and design leadership throughout fabrication, inspection, and project execution stages.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience: 10–15 years of proven experience in process plant design, with a strong focus on piping and modular skid design/fabrication.
Strong background in 3D modeling and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, SmartPlant 3D, or similar tools).
Hands-on experience with skid fabrication projects, vendor management, and multidisciplinary design coordination.
Proven track record of delivering projects in Chemical, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Green Energy/Energy Transition industries.
In-depth knowledge of international engineering codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Why Join Us?
Opportunity to work on cutting-edge modular skid solutions across diverse industries.
Collaborative environment with exposure to multi-disciplinary engineering challenges.
Be part of a team contributing to the energy transition and sustainable engineering innovations.
