Modeling Simulation & Analysis Engineer
The Engineer/Principal GNC Engineer will design, develop, implement, verify, and test high-quality software and simulation toolchains. The candidate should have extensive experience with missile flight dynamics, autopilot and guidance design and implementation into the missile flight code. Ability to integrate algorithms seamlessly into the vehicle's flight software and collaborate with software and hardware teams. The candidate should have experience with various trajectory optimization software and tools and be able to interpret vehicle trajectory results. Capable of modifying or writing new scripts to capture customers’ requirements for measuring vehicle performance.
This position may be offered at the Principal Engineer GNC Level 3 or Sr. Principal Engineer GNC Level 4.
Principal Engineer GNC Level 3 - 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
Basic Qualifications:
Design, develop, and validate modeling and simulation frameworks for aerospace vehicles and components, ensuring accuracy and performance in various operational scenarios.Knowledge of how performance metrics are used to evaluate missile systems Enhance simulation fidelity and incorporate advanced modeling techniques to support system analysis and decision-makingConduct rigorous testing and evaluation of simulation models – identify and resolve discrepancies between simulated and real-world performance metrics. Gather, post process, and analyze vast amounts of complex dataVerify and validate performance results to ensure the simulation match intended resultsProficiency in Object Oriented Programming with a focus on C++, and experience in scripting with Bash, Python, and Matlab, as well as utilizing job schedulers like SLURM or PBSMust have active and current Secret Clearance upon application.Travel 10% of the timePreferred Qualifications:
