Interdisciplinary team As a member of the rehabilitation team the Mobility Rehab Aide supports a safe and positive patient experience by assisting in the delivery of care and performing delegated multi skilled basic patient care servicesThe Mobility Rehab Aide provides support and assistance in areas such as but not limited to mobility ADLs Activities of Daily Living movement and ambulation and positioning In addition the Mobility Aide may provide support to licensed Rehabilitation Therapists in areas such as therapeutic exercise programs group exercise programs and mobility volunteer aide programsResponsibilitiesCommunication Teamworkmiddot Communicate effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary healthcare teammiddot Provides verbal handoffs to nursing staff when needed to ensure continuity of caremiddot Collaborates with nursing and rehabilitation staff to support mobility goals and patient safetyClinical Skills Patient Caremiddot Triages and prioritizes patients for appropriate mobility interventionsmiddot Monitors patient symptoms and vital signs blood pressure heart rate oxygen saturation and adjusts activity as neededmiddot Performs basic mobility and rehabilitation tasks independently includingo Range of motion ROM exerciseso Bed mobility and ambulationo Transfers tofrom bed wheelchair stretcher bedside commode or toiletmiddot Ensures the use of proper equipment to promote safety and maximize patient independencemiddot Follows nursingMD activity orders and integrates input from the rehabilitation teamSafety Compliancemiddot Demonstrates safe handling and use of oxygen during mobility activitiesmiddot Maintains CPR certification required within three months of hiremiddot Performs duties safely and competently after completion of required training and competenciesTechnology Documentationmiddot Possesses basic computer skills and is willing to learn new systemsmiddot Demonstrates understanding of medical terminologymiddot Learns and
