Mobility Aide
Position Summary Under general supervision, the Mobility Aide supports patient mobility by assisting with daily ambulation exercises. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing careers in healthcare, including Pre-Med, Kinesiology, Nursing, or Physical Therapy, and offers valuable hands-on experience in a clinical setting. Key Responsibilities + Safely transfer patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices + Ambulate patients according to care plans and readiness assessments + Disinfect equipment between uses following infection control protocols + Communicate effectively with patients, families, and clinical staff + Maintain a clean and organized patient environment + Update patient communication boards and monitor schedules + Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient needs are met + Exhibit professionalism, teamwork, and respect for patient dignity Qualifications Required: + Ability to read, write, and speak English + Strong communication and customer service skills + Ability to follow instructions and maintain simple records + Familiarity with basic computer systems and paging devices + Knowledge of body mechanics and safety precautions + Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within 90 days of hire Benefits + Retirement: IPERS and 457(b) Deferred Compensation + Paid Time Off
