Job Description A large global retailer in the Northwest Arkansas area is looking for a Quality Engineer to join the international organization. They will be part of the team working on the digital shelf label project. They are enabling electronic self-labels in multiple international markets. This has already been implemented in the US and they are following that same road map for Canada, Mexico and Chile and to mirror one common design in all markets. They will be working on an agile team alongside product managers, development team, and lead architects. Skills and Requirements JavaScript/TypeScript Proficiency Ability to write and maintain test scripts in JS/TS since React Native uses these languages. Automation Frameworks Detox (most popular for React Native end-to-end testing). Familiarity with Appium for cross-platform mobile automation. Knowledge of Jest for unit/integration testing. CI/CD Integration Experience integrating automated tests into pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps). API Testing Understanding of REST/GraphQL and tools like Postman or Playwright for backend validation. Mobile Testing Expertise: React Native Ecosystem Understanding of RN architecture, components, and navigation. Ability to handle platform-specific differences (iOS vs Android). Device & Emulator Management Experience with Android Studio and Xcode simulators. Knowledge of real-device testing and cloud platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs). Performance & Accessibility Testing Familiarity with tools for profiling and accessibility compliance. QA Fundamentals: Test Strategy & Planning Ability to design test cases for UI, functional, and regression testing. Bug Tracking & Reporting Experience with tools like Jira, TestRail. Version Control Comfortable with Git workflows. Playwright or Cypress for web automation (if app has a web counterpart). BDD frameworks like Cucumber for behavior-driven testing. Basic knowledge of React Native debugging tools (Flipper, React DevTools).
