Mobile/Floating Building Cleaner

As a Floating Facility Care Specialist, responsibilities vary by location and the specific needs of each building. This role requires traveling between multiple sites to ensure all facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning and Sanitizing

Perform general cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting, to maintain overall cleanliness. Clean and disinfect restrooms—sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors—meeting hygiene and sanitation standards.

Trash and Waste Management

Empty trash and recycling bins; replace liners and dispose of waste in designated areas. Maintain odor-free and clutter-free environments throughout each facility.

Surface and Touchpoint Cleaning

Wipe down desks, counters, tables, and chairs to remove dust and debris. Sanitize high-touch areas such as doorknobs, light switches, and railings to prevent germ transmission.

Floor and Carpet Care

Sweep, mop, and maintain all hard-surface floors, paying special attention to spills and high-traffic areas. Vacuum carpets and rugs; spot clean stains when necessary.

Glass and Window Cleaning

Clean windows, mirrors, and glass doors to ensure a streak-free finish. Remove fingerprints, smudges, and other marks for a polished appearance.

Restocking Supplies

Replenish restrooms and common areas with essential supplies (e.g., toilet paper, soap, paper towels, sanitizer). Monitor inventory and report low stock levels to supervisors.

Minor Maintenance Support

Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains. Report safety concerns or repair needs promptly.

Safety and Compliance

Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately. Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly to maintain a safe work environment.

Communication and Coordination

Maintain professional communication with supervisors, team members, and building occupants. Provide updates on building conditions, special requests, or maintenance concerns.

Flexibility and Adaptability

Adapt to changing schedules, priorities, and site locations as required. Manage time effectively to complete cleaning assignments efficiently across multiple facilities.
