This incumbent will work under the supervision of Levee Foreman. The key competencies needed to succeed in this role are the following: + Accepting Direction: The ability to accept and follow directions from those higher in the chain of command. + Following Policies and Procedures: The ability to comply with policies and procedures of the organization as well as State Civil Service rules, and all applicable federal and state laws. + Working Safely: The ability to maintain safety by following rules and procedures. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in mobile equipment operations. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: This position main responsibilities are to operate bulldozers, angel dozers, front end loader, and/or backhoes. Operates excavator or track hoe, grad all - graders, tractor trailer. May be required to operate any equipment enumerated for lower graded equipment operators when necessary to accomplish work objective. May perform incidental repair and construction tasks and make minor repairs to equipment and performs user maintenance necessary to keep equipment in clean, good working order.
