We are looking for an experienced Mobile Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Appium, Java, Selenium, and Rest Assured. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and executing automated test frameworks for mobile (Android/iOS), web, and API testing, ensuring high-quality releases across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation test frameworks using Appium, Java, and Selenium.
Automate test cases for mobile applications (Android/iOS) using Appium.
Develop and maintain API automation scripts using Rest Assured.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to understand requirements and define test strategies.
Perform regression, smoke, and sanity testing to ensure product quality.
Analyze test results, log defects, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and test coverage metrics.
Required Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4+ years of total experience in software testing (manual + automation).
3+ years hands-on experience in automation testing using:
Appium (Mobile automation for Android and iOS)
Java (Strong programming and OOP concepts)
Selenium WebDriver (Web UI automation)
Rest Assured (API testing and automation)
Experience with TestNG or JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and Git.
Strong understanding of mobile testing frameworks, desired capabilities, and Appium server configurations.
Experience with device farms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Firebase Test Lab).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitHub Actions.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA).
Good to Have:Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Serenity).
Exposure to mobile cloud testing and containerized test environments (Docker).
Knowledge of database testing (SQL) and API mocking tools (Postman, WireMock).
Familiarity with version control and branching strategies (Git/GitHub/GitLab).
Knowledge of performance and security testing basics for mobile apps.
