Your job, as M&S Vaccines GBU Transformation Leader, is to lead specific performance initiatives at site or cross-site by selecting the most appropriate deployment modality and designing/executing accordingly to maximize impact on performance.


You act as a catalyst of change, supporting sites in “making improvement happen”, and ultimately delivering measurable and lasting performance impact.

Main Responsibilities:

Generate local/transverse performance impact by driving specific boosters/performance programs, leveraging SMS2.0, Digital and Industrial best Practices for a defined scope (site or cross-sites):

Leading the diagnostic, design, and implementation of boosters by anticipating risks and opportunities, addressing specific performance breakthroughs (e.g., resources, planning, governance, routines, capacity, value analysis, productivity, yield, agility) and coaching local team (i.e., Change Leaders, Initiatives Leaders) to ensure sustainability, value capture and scalability

Monitoring progress vs plan/impact on performance, removing roadblocks and challenging the local transformation team, to make sure the full potential is achieved

Guiding sites team in the deployment of ecosystems/pillars within SMS 2.0, providing input to the design, refining efforts bases on feedback, ensuring adherence to standard methodology, and transferring capabilities to local teams by trainings

Addressing specific business needs of the sites, implementing them in practice and ensuring the post-implementation codification

Supporting the sites to define which digital solutions can be deployed to address the site’s business needs by proposing and developing new approaches for transformation, but also post deployment, to ensure adoption, value realization and continuous improvement by incorporating the digital tool usage into the new business routines

Ensuring continuous improvement and optimization of standards/playbooks and digital applications by proving detailed action plan but also input in his/her areas of expertise to archetype/ecosystems and digital product owners

Coaching and mentoring by reinforcing change management capabilities at site

Acting as a peer partner for Sites Leadership Teams

Generate performance at scale & standardization by designing and codifying standard transformation approaches for an identified performance gap:

Identifying and scoping opportunities for standardized approaches to drive performance at scale

Leveraging technical expertise from local and global teams to standardize an approach and improvement levers

Leveraging digital expertise

About You

Basic Qualifications:

BS/BA in a Scientific discipline, Engineering, Pharmaceutical or related. Master’s degree is preferred but not required.

8-10+ years in an Industrial Operations environment, ideally within Pharmaceutical or Biopharmaceutical manufacturing arena.

Hands-on experience in Change Management methodologies.

Strong exposure to Lean Manufacturing, SMS 2.0 and digital/Factory 4.0 solutions in place/in use.

Knowledge of the Lean methodology plus good functional knowledge on industrial business processes.

Hands on experience and knowledge of basic financial analysis and management accounting.

Soft skills:

Strong leadership: ability to drive initiatives and decision making, to influence in matrix organization, to shape a vision and to disrupt the status quo with innovation and with pragmatism, Capacity to inspire trust and to create powerful relationships

Strong written and oral communication skills

People management: ability to develop people, coach, provide structured feedback

High level of autonomy in execution: capacity to adapt with agility, to take calculated risks and to anticipate potential issues

The salary range for this position is:

$172,500.00 - $249,166.66
