**MNF MNFCT ENGNR ProfTech II** **Description** **JOB SUMMARY:** Employer Kautex Inc\. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Detroit, MI\. **JOB DUTIES:** Continuous improvement of material capital, machine efficiency, scrap, and labor productivity\. Execute real\-time troubleshooting for material processing and automated process steps\. Integration of Industry 4\.0 Concepts into Manufacturing Excellence\. Modify and re\-design tooling of equipment used for fuel tank manufacturing\. Analyze material processing of components to improve the performance and quality of fuel tank products\. Oversee daily production activities to meet delivery schedules for fuel tank production lines\. Conduct real\-time troubleshooting for BMM \(Blow Molding Machines\) automation cells & plastic welding machines to reduce downtime\. Optimize vision systems and improve robot routines to reduce cycle times and potential downtime\. Collaborate with quality control teams to maintain product standards and meet IATF regulations and maintain all the required documentation for the process\. Develop a technology roadmap based on future needs and technology development and manage the closure of the gaps with internal and external resources\. Implement plans to improve to root cause of the material\-related issues and develop testing methodologies or specifications to detect or control any material issues\. Conduct Research to gain information about the product or process\. Collaborate with vendors and function team, to identify, develop, and validate process issues and reduce equipment downtime\. Perform a measure of time and correct equipment function\. Responsible for achieving process targets during launch and serial production\. Plan Preventive Maintenance \(TPM\) on a controllable schedule\. Collaborate with Technology department to detect premature equipment failures based on material excessive wear\. Optimization of materials processing, and analysis of regrind material according to the recycling material of Kautex Standard\. Optimization of manufacturing process and material flow layout, improve the material handling efficiency\. Optimization of the blow\-mold machine start\-up procedure to reduce material defect scrap\. Assist the control engineer in troubleshooting any automation program issue\. Be the owner of the equipment and process specification; define, release, update, and distribute as required\. Includes spare part management\. Review welding machine parameter specifications and machine, ensure the process and product meeting the Kautex Process Standard and Support the maintenance planner and maintenance staff to prioritize, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance tasks\. **15% domestic travel required to other Kautex facilities in the United States\.** **Qualifications** **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:** Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience to involve: \(1\) Manufacturing Engineering; working on manufacturing processes, production systems, and quality control; industrial hardware components including sensors, actuators, robotics, hydraulics, and pneumatics\. Also, 2 years of experience stated herein to involve: \(i\) Project Management with robotics and industry automation in a manufacturing environment; \(ii\) working with both Injection Mold and Blow Mold processes; \(iii\) Industry quality standards \(IATF 16949 & OEM’s specific requirements\) and manufacturing safety regulations\. Finally, 1 year of experience stated herein to involve: \(a\) PLC programming languages; AutoCAD or similar; \(b\) launching new projects \(manufacturing lines\) in the plastic manufacturing field; and \(c\) utilizing root cause analysis techniques \(A3, 5why’s, FTA analysis or similar\) for Material Defect and Material Processing\. **OTHER \(WORKSITE\):** 2627 Clark St\.
