Job DescriptionThe Mixing Crew Member must be able to read specs, know all tire components used in Mixing, and follow safety and quality standards.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Assists with operating the Mixer, including sequencing, exchange of pallets, rubber containers, and control panel operationsMonitor weight measurement process for each type of compound.Work with Mixing Management Systems (MMS)Assist with exchange of pallets, containers, and trolleysPractice and follow tolerances and standards for chemical weightsPossess and apply problem solving skills in case of machine cycle issuesOperate forklifts and operate other material handling equipment as needed and is responsible for the proper care and safe operation of the material handling equipment.Follow recipe weight measurements and ensure accuracyRead specifications, use hand tools, and gauging devices, to monitor current and ongoing product qualityReact quickly to equipment downtime or other extraordinary condition, and must notify supervision whenever such conditions occurPerform actions with a control panel interface, both automatic and manualCommunicate with other inbound and outbound operators, production operators, other crew members and supervision.Follow all plant policies, environmental policies, and departmental safety policies.Performs other duties as directed by the shift leaders or management team.QualificationsWHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
