McCain Foods (Canada) – Florenceville French Fry, is currently seeking a Mixer Deck Operator join our Florenceville team.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Responsible for Mixer Deck area, production line cleanliness and other assigned areas as requiredResponsible for timing and releasing batch Will be required to be involved in plant sanitation, and clean-up shiftsTo assist and break other operators as requiredParticipate in Team meetings as requiredKeep accurate records e.g. ingredient usage, line settings, etc.Responsible for the yearly completion of the Performance Excellence Program (PEP) training and evaluationComplete core curriculum E-learning coursesFollow JHA’s and work safely. Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)All additional duties as they become assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade 12 or GED would be considered an assetMust be able to work shifts on a rotating basisExperience with packaging machinery desirableMust be mechanically inclined and able to with stand heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs unassisted)Must be able to work in a temperature varying environmentMust be able to work in a team atmosphereMust have good decision making and trouble shooting skillsMust possess good communication skills and be able to record legible resultsMust be able to understand and abide by H.A.C.C.P. regulations concerning sanitation.Knowledge of computer operations an assetAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to accept and embrace change in the day to day operationsSuccessful completion of 90 day training periodMust be willing to cross-train on other equipment and areas

Applicants must possess a good safety record and continually demonstrate “safety first.”  Selection of employees for promotion is based upon such factors as ability, special training, experience, prior PEP Ratings, attendance, ability to meet the physical demands of the position, education, length of service, and involvement in additional assignments.  Length of service will be the determining factor when all other factors are relatively equal.  Testing may be required depending on the position applied for. Interviews will held as necessary and those selected for interview are determined based on meeting the criteria as noted above. An evaluation period will be used to determine the candidate’s suitability to the position. Shifts are subject to change and are not guaranteed due to scheduling demands.

 

Compensation Package:  -  Starting at23.25 CAD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts 

 

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
