Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct geotechnical inspections and stability assessments of the residue storage area. Analyze instrumentation data and recommend corrective measures. Support embankment design and construction planning. Prepare technical reports and engineering recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe tailings management. Participate in emergency response planning and safety initiatives. Promote adherence to international best practices in tailings management. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering. Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligibility to obtain. Minimum 5 years of geotechnical experience in mining or tailings management. Hands-on experience with geotechnical analysis software. Familiarity with international tailings management guidelines. Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Technical writing and reporting abilities. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement. Team-oriented with ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
