Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Millwright / Fabrication Project Manager for a client in Milton, ON. The Project Manager oversees project budgets, timelines, and execution from bid to completion. They manage customer relationships, coordinate materials and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with company policies. They provide clear scopes of work for field teams to ensure accurate and profitable delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain current job and quote files.
- Review contract documents to identify risks or ambiguities; escalate concerns to Director of Operations.
- Conduct pre-bid site evaluations to assess conditions affecting cost and construction methods.
- Prepare accurate estimates and review with Director of Operations for validation.
- Coordinate timely material procurement and subcontractor engagement.
- Develop and update project schedules with the Shop/Fabrication Manager.
- Align deliveries and subcontractor work with project timelines; adjust for changes.
- Resolve design and detail issues with stakeholders.
- Attend preconstruction and project meetings.
- Track job progress and correct cost report discrepancies.
- Analyze cost reports for overruns and change order opportunities.
- Approve job-related invoices and customer billing.
- Maintain organized estimate, plan, and contract files.
- Submit and manage change proposals and orders.
- Request time extensions per contract requirements.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and uphold service standards.

Skills and Requirements
• Five years of experience managing Fabrication or Millwright projects
• Must have a strong background in customer facing roles
• Experience estimating and managing self performed work activities and subcontracted work.
• Proficient with computer software and ability to read blueprint and drawing notes.
• Understands means and methods of construction associated with the construction and
renovation of industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings.
• Knowledge of the cost of goods and services; has a demonstrated ability to solicit, evaluate and manage the price, schedule, and quality objectives of individual projects. Hands-on experience in millwright or fabrication
