Job Title: Millwright

Job Description

The candidate will primarily service BOP stacks, working with double gates, annulars, spools, tongs, elevators, and cylinders. Responsibilities include the disassembly and assembly of units, conducting inspections and dimensional reports, troubleshooting issues, performing pressure, load, and pull tests, and coordinating repairs with other internal departments. Over time, the contractor will gain experience by working on various other objects to broaden their knowledge base.

Responsibilities

Disassemble and assemble industrial equipment.Conduct inspections and generate dimensional reports.Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues.Perform pressure, load, and pull testing.Coordinate repairs with internal departments.

Essential Skills

3 years of experience as a Millwright with assembly and disassembly of industrial equipment.Ability to read blueprints and P&ID.Proficiency in using measuring tools such as verniers, calipers, and tape measures.Experience in hydraulic test bench operations.Filling out inspection reports accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with overhead cranes and sit-down forklifts.Understanding of safety protocols.Experience in pull testing and load testing.

Work Environment

Located in SE Calgary, the facility houses approximately 50 trades workers and plans to expand in 2025. The work shifts are Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm with overtime available after 8 hours, or Monday to Thursday from 2:30 pm to 1:00 am with a $3 premium for afternoon shifts and overtime available after 10 hours.
