Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Millwright for it's chemical manufacturing clients in East Providence, RI working Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM. This role is critical in supporting the rest of the maintenance team who is onsite around the clock and comprised of Electricians, Mechanical Techs, as well as Plumbers/Pipefitters. Key responsibilities will be as follows: Key Responsibilities: *Install, maintain, and repair pumps, compressors, agitators, conveyors, gearboxes, valves, and other mechanical equipment. *Perform precision alignment of rotating equipment using laser alignment tools and dial indicators. *Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical systems to identify issues and implement corrective actions. *Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. *Collaborate with engineers and operators to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance. *Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance in accordance with established schedules. *Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage. *Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. *Participate in shutdowns and turnarounds, including disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of equipment. *Operate forklifts, hoists, and other lifting equipment safely and efficiently. Skills and Requirements *High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or apprenticeship in industrial mechanics preferred. *Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a millwright in a chemical, petrochemical, or industrial manufacturing environment. *Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment. *Ability to use precision measuring tools and alignment equipment. *Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). *Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. *Ability to work independently and as part of a team. *Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and participate in emergency call-outs. *Commitment to safety and environmental compliance. Physical Requirements: *Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or elevated areas. *Comfortable working in hot, cold, or noisy environments typical of chemical plants. *Must be able to wear required PPE including respirators, safety glasses, and protective clothing.
