**Job Title: Millwright** Job Description This role involves inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of all high-speed machinery in processing and packaging areas. You will be responsible for converting high-speed packaging machines to adapt to new product formats. Additionally, you will investigate, recommend, and execute modifications to improve existing equipment. Performing safety inspections, lubrication, and necessary repairs or adjustments on machines to ensure quality control standards are maintained is also a key part of this role. Responsibilities + Perform minor electrical repairs on machines. + Accurately complete paperwork, close work orders, create notifications, and ensure preventive maintenance completion. + Collaborate with the Engineering department regarding machine modifications and the installation of new machinery and production systems. + Work closely with operating colleagues to ensure production of high-quality products while maintaining budgeted efficiencies. + Understand and follow food safety systems and procedures. + Ensure all products meet GMP and food safety requirements. + Actively participate and contribute to the development of IL6S tools and systems including Equipment Criticality classification, Adjustment Points, Centerlines, Visual Controls, CIL, troubleshooting manuals, and technical expertise. + Engage in Changeovers and Sanitation on the line, seeking improvements through Poke Yoke and SMED. + Participate actively in resolving issues using Root Cause Analysis tools to eliminate breakdowns. Essential Skills + Proficient in troubleshooting, blueprint reading, hydraulics, mechanical, and pneumatics. + Possession of a 433A License. + 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic. + Experience with processing and packaging equipment in industrial settings, including installation and repair. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Food manufacturing experience is a plus. + Experience with SAP is advantageous. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is within a food manufacturing environment where Halls candy is produced. Expect a menthol smell and a loud environment with exposure to noise, raw materials, dust, and varying temperatures. Adherence to GMP procedures is mandatory. You will be part of a 25-person maintenance team consisting of millwrights, electricians, and apprentices. Work is organized into a 3-shift rotation: Days, Afternoons, and Nights, for both Packaging and Processing shifts.
