Job Description
As a Millwright, you will be responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of all high-speed machinery in processing and packaging areas. Your role will include converting high-speed packaging machines to accommodate new product format changes and recommending modifications to improve existing equipment. You will perform safety inspections, lubricate, and make necessary repairs or adjustments on machines. You will also check machines in operation continually to detect problems and execute necessary adjustments to maintain quality control standards. Additionally, you will perform minor electrical repairs on machines.
ResponsibilitiesAccurately complete paperwork, close work orders, create notifications, and ensure preventive maintenance completion.Collaborate with the Engineering department on machine modifications and the installation of new machinery and production systems.Work closely with operating colleagues to produce high-quality products while maintaining budgeted efficiencies.Understand and follow food safety systems and procedures.Ensure all products produced meet GMP and food safety requirements.Actively participate in the development of IL6S tools and systems including Equipment Criticality classification, Adjustment Points, Centerlines, Visual Controls, and troubleshooting manuals.Participate actively in Changeovers and Sanitation on the line, seeking opportunities to improve through Poke Yoke and SMED.Use Root Cause Analysis tools to eliminate breakdowns and correct issues.Essential SkillsTroubleshooting skillsBlueprint readingKnowledge of hydraulics and mechanical systems433A license3-5 years of experience as an industrial mechanicComputer literacyIndustrial installation knowledgeAdditional Skills & QualificationsLift Truck license is an assetPrevious experience using SAP or MaximoAbility and willingness to work various shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidaysWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
You will work in a food manufacturing setting, which includes exposure to noise, raw materials, some dust, and variable temperatures. Personal protective equipment is required, including protective footwear, hearing protection, hard hats, and safety glasses when necessary. You will be part of a 20-person maintenance team consisting of 14 millwrights and 2 maintenance planners. Please note that the facility processes peanuts, so candidates must not be allergic.

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $44.00/hr.
