Job Title: Millwright – Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $65,000+ per year
Hours: Full-time, approximately 50 hours per week (5:00 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM)
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Millwright for a direct hire position with our client, Robbins Lumber, a well-established lumber manufacturer located in Searsmont, Maine. The Millwright will install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery, with an emphasis on lumber processing equipment. The Millwright plays a vital role in minimizing downtime, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and extending equipment lifespan through preventative maintenance and prompt repairs. This is a full-time opportunity with great benefits and room to grow, located in Searsmont, Maine.


As a Millwright, you will be responsible for:

Install, maintain, and repair machinery used in lumber processing

Troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and effectively

Perform routine and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime

Read and interpret technical schematics, manuals, and blueprints

Operate tools and machinery safely and correctly

Collaborate with other team members and departments as needed

Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Adapt to flexible scheduling and work overtime as needed


The ideal candidate for this role will have:

A high school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)

Prior experience working in a lumber mill or industrial environment

Demonstrated success installing and maintaining heavy equipment

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Ability to read schematics and technical drawings

Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team

Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb, crouch, and perform manual labor
