Moog Aircraft Group is looking for an apprentice-trained, experienced CNC Machinist (Turner/Mill-Turn) to join the team at our facility based in Wolverhampton. At Moog, we're focused on the customer and for us, this means designing complex mechanical products that are often bespoke and high-profile. Our Machinists work to exceptionally close tolerance, an essential requirement of the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate multiple CNC machines/processes.Perform first-off inspections and complete necessary quality documentation.Capability and competent in setting up and using machine toolsCarry out own 1st off inspection and check/complete the necessary quality documentationProven experience in a machine shop environmentCompetent in setting up and using machine toolsConfident in using precision measurement equipment.

 
Key Experience:

Recognised engineering apprenticeship.Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing role, ideally within the aerospace industry.Strong knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.Proven skills in a multi-axis/complex machining environment.Attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement techniques.Proficiency in using relevant inspection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerances.Over 5 years experience on different mill/turn CNC machines (Okuma , Mazak , Lathe, DMG , Matsura , Puma)

Additional Information:
This role follows a day shift pattern and may in the future lead to a double-day shift pattern with overtime as requested.
Candidates must be self-certified and hold a quality stamp after the qualifying period.
