MILK RECEIVER/ BULK TANK WASHER - 1st and 3rd shifts available Job Description The Raw Lab Milk Receiver plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of dairy products. This position involves receiving trailers of bulk products and testing raw and heat-treated dairy ingredients to meet FDA and NYS regulations. The role supports the manufacturing of dairy-related products by maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and performance. Responsibilities + Achieve assigned goals in production, safety, quality, performance, and cost. + Notify team of mechanical malfunctions to increase productivity and equipment capabilities. + Comply with GMPs, SOPs, and all corporate and plant policies and regulations. + Support all areas related to quality as assigned by supervisor/lead. + Receive, test, and ensure compliance of all incoming raw dairy and cream trucks, bulk sugars, oils, and CIP chemical trucks. + Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of cream trucks, valves, gaskets, alcove rooms, CIP room, tanker bays, and raw lab. + Monitor silos for testing and proper rotation in coordination with shift managers/supervisors. + Inspect and maintain cleanliness of tankers, silos, tanks, and lines. + Disassemble and assemble sanitary lines and CIP equipment. + Maintain raw material records in accordance with procedures and regulatory requirements. + Monitor and ensure quality standards for all products being received and tested. + Identify and report any foreign materials found during unloading or inspection. + Maintain the Receiving Log for the shift worked. + Maintain professionalism with tanker drivers and excellent customer service with all customers. + Operate the internal HMI system. + Cover breaks and lunches and other staffing needs as assigned. + Comply with legal requirements and report concerns to supervisor/lead. + Work safely and report safety concerns promptly. + Report food safety problems and support SQF by maintaining food safety and quality. + Ensure work areas are sanitary and adhere to sanitation practices and requirements. Essential Skills + Ability to apply basic to complex mathematical concepts. + Strong attention to detail. + Ability to respond appropriately to employee, vendor, and customer inquiries. + Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English. + Knowledge of company's mission, purpose, and goals. + Ability to operate quality and facility equipment. + Completion of all company training requirements and passing annual proficiency tests. + Ability to interpret company documents and standard operating procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications + GED or High School Diploma required; Associate's degree in chemistry, biology, food science, or ag-tech science preferred. + 6 months to 2 years of manufacturing/machine operation experience in dairy/food industry preferred. + SQF or similar quality systems experience preferred. Work Environment The work environment requires compliance with safety standards and maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace. Employees must be well-groomed and dressed in appropriate attire, including uniforms that meet GMP dress code standards. The role involves working with quality and facility equipment and requires coordination with multiple departments. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
