Roles and Responsibilities
Analyze transient characteristics of engines, including running cycle modelsConduct testing in rigs, ground tests and flight enginesMatch transient engine cycle model performance to test dataLead transient validation design reviewsExecute with limited guidance the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirementsRecommend approach to meet the technical and program requirementsProvide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams; mentor others in the organizationAssure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and proceduresMonitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developmentsParticipate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviewsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 3 years' experience in systems engineeringDue to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.Desired Characteristics
Current secret clearance desired.2+ years of experience in one of Systems, Performance, Operability, or Transient disciplinesMS in Engineering or Minimum of 2 years in gas turbine engineering positionSkilled in aircraft engine system design and integrationExperience with aerodynamic compression components (Fan, Booster, Compressor)Experience with gas turbine engine performance cycle design and analysisExperience with NPSS, Python or similar programming languagesStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsDemonstrated cross functional team experienceAbility to influence othersDemonstrated process orientation in approach to workThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
