Military Fellowship Program: Logistics Engineer

SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work.
NOTE: You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military.
As a Logistics Engineer, you'll perform in- depth analysis of test, engineering design, safety, manufacturing process, reliability and maintainability to identify and document maintenance and support requirements and utilize common logistics modeling techniques to predict maintenance levels and costs. You'll also review engineering requirements, recommend tool and test equipment and calibration requirements, and assist in the review and development of maintenance engineering and logistics support.

**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Currently serving as active duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
+ Bachelor's Degree in a related Engineering discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
+ Higher-level degree may substitute for relevant experience
+ Broad understanding of engineering principles and practices
+ Advanced analytical skills
+ Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams
+ Experience in life cycle sustainment, development, and execution with a focus on cost effective management of the reliability, availability, and maintainability of the weapon system.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance
**Qualifications We Prefer:**
+ Understanding of Air Force and other Military Specifications and Standards
+ Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense and/or US Military
+ Experience in OPUS suite or other life cycle management software experience
+ Experience in Veryon or other Maintenance software experience
+ Experience in reliability and maintainability; including Military Standards (MIL-STDs) 1629, 217, and 470
+ Development and execution of DMSMS
+ Development an execution of LORA
+ Familiarity with with logistics requirements, activities, and processes performed as part of systems engineering concepts in support of Department of Defense 5000.1 Defense Acquisition System programs as well as life cycle logistics requirements, tasks, and work products typically performed as in support of activities identified in Air Force Instruction 63-101/20-101 and/or AFI 63-1201.
+ Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to tailor conversations to adapt to audiences including technical, program management, operators, maintainers, customers, and subcontractors.
+ Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize, develop, direct, coordinate, manage requirements, and provide logistical management for the design, deployment, installation, and sustainment of programs, to include development of Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP), and logistics work products that ensure effective and economical support for manufacturing and servicing of products, systems, or equipment
+ Prior experience maintaining product line technical baselines ensuring compliance, consistency, continuity, safety, and configuration control
+ DAWIA level 1
