Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher — Oceanside, CA Pay: $50 per hour (Travel pay rates available for qualified candidates) Full-Time | 37.5 Hours per Week | Elementary & Middle Grades Location: Oceanside, CA Start Date: ASAP – June 10, 2025 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM Contract Length: School Year Openings: 3 Position Overview We are seeking three Mild/Moderate Special Education Teachers to provide high-quality instructional services to K–8 students. This role works under the direction of a Special Education Program Administrator and involves direct instruction, academic support, and collaboration with general education teachers to implement individualized education programs. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in various classroom environments and managing a caseload of approximately 24 students. Minimum Requirements + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred) + Valid state teaching certificate as required by state/local regulations + Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred) + Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred) + Standard Special Teaching (preferred) + Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement (preferred) + At least one year of teaching experience (preferred) + Compliance with all professional standards of practice + Current CPR certification (if applicable) + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable) + Current health certificate (as required) + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years old Key Responsibilities + Provide specialized instruction to students with mild/moderate needs + Implement targeted academic and behavioral interventions + Collaborate with general education staff to support inclusive practices + Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs + Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with regulations + Participate in team meetings, parent communication, and support activities Ideal Candidate We are looking for educators who demonstrate strong instructional ability, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
