At Collins Aerospace, we’re looking for a skilled Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional projects that directly support our customers. As a key contributor within the Military Communications (MILCOM) team, you will directly support US Department of Defense and global government defense customers. You will be a key project manager leading myriad activities that directly support our flying customers and their avionics hardware to support flight simulation, datalink communications and communications testing, and avionics integration. **What YOU will do:**
+ Define project scopes, set milestones, and develop detailed schedules to ensure delivery is on-time and aligned with business goals.
+ Take ownership of the budget—approving expenditures, forecasting costs, and preventing overruns—while managing vendor contracts and procurement activities.
+ Maintain clear, proactive communication with stakeholders, presenting project updates and managing expectations throughout the lifecycle.
+ Lead cross-functional teams, manage resource allocation, and cultivate strong collaboration to drive project execution.
+ Identify and mitigate risks early, resolve issues efficiently, and remove obstacles that hinder project success.
+ Ensure project closure is thorough—verifying deliverables, completing evaluations, and releasing resources.
+ Oversee inventory management and documentation for all customer property using internal systems like Sunflower and SAP.
+ Coordinate proper handling, shipping, and audit compliance for customer and government-owned property.
+ Manage purchase requisitions, submit requests for new equipment or subcontractor labor, and maintain accurate purchase order records.
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
+ U.S. Citizen - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
+ Experience managing cross-functional projects, including budget, schedule, and team leadership responsibilities.
+ Experience with regulatory compliance, documentation, and audit support.
**Qualifications We Prefer:**
+ Experience in defense, aerospace, or government contracting environments.
+ Familiarity with SAP and/or Sunflower asset tracking systems.
+ Strong skills in stakeholder communication, risk management, and customer property handling.
+ PMP or similar project management certification.

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
