Job Title: MIG Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder who understands and embodies our core values and beliefs. The ideal candidate will be safety-oriented, with a commitment to maintaining safe working conditions at all times. This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to effectively understand project requirements.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.Measure, cut, and assemble metal parts using tools like saws, grinders, and torches.Fit and prepare metal parts for welding.Perform various types of welding, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to join metal parts.Inspect welded surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.Operate welding equipment and ensure it is maintained in good working order.Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) to check the quality of welds.Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a clean and organized workspace.Comply with industry regulations and company policies.Identify defects or issues with welding equipment and perform minor repairs or maintenance.Troubleshoot problems during the welding process and make necessary adjustments.Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each task.Complete reports and documentation as required by the project or supervisor.Operate specialized machines to manufacture needed parts.Essential Skills
Proven experience as a Fitter/Welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, typically up to 50 pounds.Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work is performed in a manufacturing or workshop setting, with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery being common. Overtime and shift work may be required to meet project demands. Employees are expected to adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Louisville, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
