Requisition ID: req58906 Job Title: Midwife (National Female Only) Sector: Health Employment Category: Regular Employment Type: Full-Time Open to Expatriates: No Location: Kunduz, Afghanistan Work Arrangement:In-person Job Description Update Qualifications + Holds a recognized Midwifery Diploma/Certificate, is registered with the Ministry of Public Health, and has successfully passed the Exit Exam. + At least 2 years of clinical experience as a midwife. Prior experience and training in sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) response and clinical care for sexual assault survivors is an advantage. + Experience working with and supporting community volunteers in health promotion, community mobilization, and awareness raising is desirable. + Ability to maintain regular inventory and consumption tracking of medical drugs and supplies. + Coordinate with relevant staff to ensure timely requests for medical supplies. + Technical competency and flexibility to understand and navigate cultural and political dynamics. + Skills to provide sensitive and appropriate medical counseling. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to prepare clear and concise reports in English. + Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a challenging environment, demonstrating patience, empathy, and diplomacy. + Must be willing and able to work night shifts as per the duty roster. + Must be capable of conducting outreach services at the community level, including health education and service delivery. + Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when required. + Capacity to live and work in difficult and high-pressure conditions. + Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all patient consultations and records. + Submit timely and comprehensive reports as required. + Fluency in Pashto and/or Dari. + Proficiency in English is an advantage. + Basic computer literacy is an advantage. + Ability to work respectfully, professionally, and collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, or culture.
