Job Description

AECOM Enterprise Capabilities is seeking a structural engineer with experience in large-scale infrastructure projects to work in its offices in Bogotá, Colombia.

 

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Participate in the structural design of various infrastructure projects, including the development of mathematical models, required calculations, and the preparation of calculation reports and technical descriptions.Ensure that all assigned projects are executed in accordance with the company’s quality management system.Promote an integrated and multidisciplinary design approach, collaborating across different engineering disciplines.Understand and address client requirements and expectations effectively.Stay up to date with industry standards, guidelines, and new technologies, and communicate relevant developments to your team.Collaborate constructively with colleagues, external partners (e.g., architects, geotchnics, piping and mechanical engineers), and clients to ensure high-quality project delivery.Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering  with +4 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Minimum of 4 years of proven technical experience in structural engineering, with a focus on the design of various concrete and steel structures in accordance with international standards and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering  with post graduate degree (Specialty or Master) in Structural Engineering with +5 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Qualified Structural Engineer, preferably with a postgraduate degree (Specialization or Master’s) in Structural Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of proven technical experience in structural engineering, with a focus on the design of various concrete and steel structures in accordance with international standards and multidisciplinary teams.Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects such as railways, LRT systems, highways, airports, or data centers.Demonstrated involvement in all project phases, from concept and design through to construction and completion.Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, such as SAP2000, ETABS, CSI Bridge, STAAD PRO or equivalent tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and SpanishDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
