Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking to hire a **Mid-level Transit Planner** to support our exciting project in **Austin, TX** . **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others + Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed planning products. + Usually performs as a consultant as to a technical specialty, a type of facility, industry, equipment or program function. + Monitors and ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws. + Supports specialized planning functions, such as large-scale new development proposals and environmental studies. + Supports the Planning Director on all planning-related matters. + Evaluates operations and activities of assigned responsibilities. + Prepares reports on operations and activities, recommending improvements and modifications. **Qualifications** **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:** + BA/BS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** + Bachelors from an accredited university in Planning, Engineering, Geography, or related field. + Strong technical writing skills + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint + Proficiency with Geographic Information Systems such as ArcMap, ArcPro, and ArcGIS Online + Proficiency or familiarity with transit service planning or scheduling software + Experience in transit network and route design + Self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills + Coursework and/or project experience in geography, urban planning, transportation planning, GIS and data analysis + Experience in preparing graphics and visuals + Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and graphical skills + Familiarity with local clients **Additional Information** Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
