The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Supply Base Management Specialist (Level 3) to support the Air Dominance Machine Parts Procurement team in Hazelwood, MO.
As a Level 3 Supply Base Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal part in supporting technical and business activities to ensure supplier performance and contract execution, the evaluation of performance throughout all contract phases, and a continuous review and analysis of supplier capabilities to ensure growth and management of the restricted supply base and manage complex supply chain activities.
This position demands strong project management skills to drive initiatives to closure by collaborating across supply chain functions and supplier management teams. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, and combines strategic thinking with hands-on supply chain expertise and excels at navigating complex, cross-functional environments.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead development and execution of supply chain strategies for machine part suppliers that support F-15 and F/A-18, balancing strategic objectives with operational realitiesManage cross-functional projects that span planning, procurement, global field ops, and supply chain execution, driving initiatives to timely completionMonitor supply chain performance and identify risks or opportunities, recommending actionable solutions to maintain supply assuranceSupport continuous improvement efforts within supply chain processes, leveraging best practices and lessons learnedCommunicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex supply chain issues into clear, actionable plansSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teamsDetail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy in all deliverablesSkilled at managing ambiguity and driving results in a dynamic environmentExcellent communicator, able to influence and align diverse stakeholdersBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain processes3+ years of experience managing projects and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously3+ years of experience with Microsoft office suitePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related fieldExperience supporting or collaborating with Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) supply chain teamsFamiliarity with Boeing supply chain systems and tools preferredAbility to navigate complex organizational structures and influence at multiple levels.Strong attention to detail, particularly in reviewing procurement packagesKnowledge of the F-15 and F/A-18 platform supply chain and supply base preferredExperience with data analysis and forecasting to support supply chain decision-makingStrong organizational and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
