The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Industrial Hygienist to join the team in Berkeley, MO and be part of a world-class company.

This position will serve as the Mid-Level Industrial Hygienist for the St. Louis Region. Directly supporting the internal compliance, risk management, and change management throughout the region. Including programs such as F-47, F-15, F/A-18, MQ-25, T-7A, Service Life Management, Weapons (Direct Attack and Cruise Missile Systems) among serval others. A role that enables the Department of Defense and Foreign Military Sales customers to execute their vital national defense missions. Additionally, the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team and this role supports the production, maintenance, repair and overhaul of Boeing facilities and assets. The duties for this role included but are not limited to supporting incident investigation, implementation of company safety standards and best practices, and providing information and metrics in support of achieving functional and business goals and objectives through effective project management, interpersonal skills and effective communication both vertically and horizontally within the organization. The selected candidate will be part of developing and promoting a culture of safety where human life and health is valued, it is our belief that all injuries and incidents are preventable, and safety is the key to a strong business.  

The selected candidate will be required to travel to St. Charles, MO; Hazelwood, MO; and Mascoutah, IL to support business priorities.

Position Responsibilities:

Develops, implements and monitors occupational health and safety programs and processes

Develops and provides training and instructions

Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations

Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections

Plans and conducts health and safety audits

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelors degree or higher

3+ years of experience performing industrial hygiene work within a manufacturing environment

3+ years of experience in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)

Ability to travel 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Masters’ degree or higher in a safety related field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Toxicology, Bio-Engineering, Public Health, etc.)

Certified Industrial Hygienist

5+ years of experience managing projects   

Industrial Hygiene (compliance, monitoring, assessments, planning, regulations) to included Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Industrial Ventilation, Confined Space, Heat Stress and Ionizing Radiation

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $89,250 - $120,750
