Boeing Brazil is seeking Mid-Career Electrical/Control Engineer - Mechanical-Hydraulic Systems, reporting to the Hydraulic Systems Engineering Manager, working out of the São José dos Campos office.

The Mid-Career Electrical/Control Engineer - Mechanical-Hydraulic Systems will work within Airplane Systems engineering teams and interface with suppliers or internal Boeing organizations to oversee development of hydraulic systems, and associated components for commercial aircraft systems design. Airplane Systems work spans the full range of the aircraft lifecycle: initial concept studies, development, certification, continuous improvement in production, and ongoing support for the duration of their service life. Positions available include work at a range of electrical and control components.
This position within Hydraulic Systems pertains to engineering positions working on one or more of the many existing programs (737, 747, 767, 777, 787) and new product development airplanes.

Position Responsibilities:

•    Develop system requirements and define system architecture.
•    Develop or review hardware and software designs and associated interface specifications.
•    Ownership of component.
•    Analyze system performance and simulation.
•    Support the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups.
•    Perform and document analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
•    Work with a worldwide supplier base to develop and implement system hardware, electronics, and software. Contribute to supplier development, design reviews, test and production activities and direct the supplier to optimize integration.
•    Develop, verify, validate, and certify designs through both laboratory and airplane testing.
•    Develop or review fleet Service Bulletins.
•    Research and development of technologies for potential future applications.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.Must have a degree in electrical or control engineering.Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):


•    Familiarity with engineering processes and methods.

•    Experience working in electrical or control engineering of these airplane systems: Electrics, Engines, Air Systems, APU, Hydraulics, Propulsion, Landing Gear/Brakes, or Auto Pilot.
•    Experience working with cross functional teams.
•    Demonstrated project management skills within a fast paced highly integrated environment.
•    Experience with Model Based Development tools.
