Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Windows Administrator to ensure the stability, security, and optimal performance of our Windows-based infrastructure. This role will be responsible for managing and maintaining Windows systems, applications, and services, with a strong emphasis on risk mitigation and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Windows operating systems, security best practices, and automation tools.
Key Responsibilities & Function:
Vulnerability Remediation / Patching:
· Manage and support Microsoft Windows fleet, including Windows 11, Windows 10, and Windows Server 2022, 2019, and 2016.
· Mitigate security risks by deploying Microsoft and third-party patches using Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), Intune, and Third-Party Software Updates Catalog.
· Implement & Enforce security policies and configurations using Active Directory Group Policy.
· Manually apply patches and perform reboots on endpoints using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to address critical risks or troubleshoot issues.
· Monitor system health and performance and respond to incidents as they arise.
· Utilize Configuration Manager (CM) for system and application configuration, including deployments, updates, and monitoring.
· Utilize Intune for device management and security policy enforcement.
· Employ Winget for automated application deployment and patching.
· Perform vulnerability scans to validate the mitigated risks.
· Troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
· Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, security policies, and incident logs.
Collaboration and Communication:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application development, operations, and security to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud systems.

Skills and Requirements
· Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
· 3+ years of experience in Windows system administration.
· Strong understanding of Windows Server and Desktop operating systems.
· Experience with Configuration Manager (CM), SCCM, Intune, and Winget.
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to security best practices.
· Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team
· Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing customer needs Federal work background null
