Microsoft Modern Work Practice Manager
Job Description:
The Microsoft Modern Work Practice Manager position is a leadership role accountable for leading the technical team of consultants in defining and developing the go-to market prioritization and development of M365 solutions for enterprise clients, ensuring the optimal solution is constructed for client opportunities, and ensuring high quality client outcomes during project execution. This individual plays a key role in the Microsoft Alliance Partnership ecosystem, and collaborates extensively with other company leaders in Sales, Solutioning, IT, Technology Partners, Delivery Teams, and other peer Practice areas to ensure growth of the practice and long-term success.
The Microsoft Modern Work Practice Manager ensures quality delivery of services for clients for opportunities ranging from M365 tenant assessments, Consulting and Advisory, to complex M365 custom development, and large scale migration implementations. The Practice Manager is expected to have the experience and to provide leadership to solutioning and subject matter expertise that are focused on consulting and delivery management within the defined subject matter area, including resource management, deliverables development, project planning and executions, adherence to contract attributes and costing, customer interaction, and other key aspects of solution-based consulting services.
Key Accountabilities and Priorities
Opportunity Solutioning
• Provide solutioning leadership to ensure a clear understanding of customers’ business and technical requirements based upon the developed solution and agreed statement of work (SOW)
• Understand, develop, and help mature the solutioning process by collaborating with pre-sales solutioning and sales teams on process improvements and automation where possible.
Practice & Product Line Management
• Responsible for developing the strategic Annual Operating Plan for the practice, and subsequent quarterly Annual Operating Planning reviews to ensure ongoing alignment and adjustments with the Microsoft Alliance Partnership priorities, including sales, solutioning, delivery and IT stakeholders.
• Accountable for practice pipeline and product line attributes based upon metrics and analysis as well as overall fit within the marketplace and technological modernization.
• Partner with sales enablement teams to create practice technical content to enable sales to effectively represent and sell the practice solutions and market offerings.
• Lead the Practice team to effectively capture, develop, and refine intellectual property (IP) from projects, programs, and engagements. Ensure that the developed IP is reusable for future training and delivery requirements.
• Broad technical expertise within the Practice capabilities ensuring sound solutioning, technical delivery, and practice growth.
• Build partnerships with key internal stakeholders across sales, TGS leadership, and IT to promote practice capabilities and develop a strong pipeline.
Management Responsibilities
• Accountable for delivery management methodology on all client opportunities
• Mentor, manage and develop product/project team members. Team size varies from 5 team members up to 8-12 team members.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management, succession planning, allocations to client engagements based on experience and skill set.
• Conduct annual reviews and provide feedback throughout the year on employee performance in regularly scheduled 1:1s with staff.
• Ensure Human Resources policies and procedures are communicated and executed according to internal and consultant HR policies.
• Prepare and manage budgets, financial plans, and forecasts. Monitor and control expenses of the practice.
• Negotiate contracts with various customers and delivery partners.
• Manage employee capacity and allocations, always ensuring adequate staffing levels for customer engagements and managing to utilization targets for employees and the team as a whole.
Job Qualifications and Experience:
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
• 15+ years’ experience in information technology and/or professional services, with emphasis on Microsoft 365 subject matter expertise, including Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio/Power Platform, Endpoint Management, Teams and SharePoint.
• Experience working with the Microsoft Partner Ecosystem, understanding of requirements to participate and maintain high levels of certifications and specializations in the Modern Work solution plays.
• Experience in leading projects/programs, delivering and administrating client professional services agreements including the change management process.
• Frequent interactions with external customers at the Director level or above; normal level of interactions at the CXO level; established consulting and interpersonal skills with 10+ years’ experience
• Proven experience in managing contracts and statements of work within service engagements.
• Ability to work remotely as primary location but can also travel to customer sites as needed, up to 25%, depending on the project / engagement.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills, which demonstrate out of the box problem solving.
• Proven ability to appropriately prioritize and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment.
• Team player with experience leading and collaborating cross-teams to deliver successful solutions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (English language).
• Superior people and personnel management skills.

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent training/educating/experience required.
• Technical Certification(s) in the one or more related subject matter areas:
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900)
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)
• Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals
• Deep understanding of the Microsoft Partner ecosystem, and the Microsoft 365 Roadmap history and evolution
• Knowledge of ITSM concepts – ITIL Certification is preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
Additional earnings may be available through incentive programs like annual bonuses, profit sharing, etc.
