Overview:

We’re hiring a Sr.Data Engineer to build and scale a client-facing analytics platform that directly drives revenue and executive decision-making. You’ll develop Microsoft Fabric pipelines, design lake house models, and optimize Power BI performance to deliver fast, reliable insights.

This role is highly visible and impact-driven, with direct influence on client satisfaction, retention, and growth. Ideal candidates bring strong SQL, Delta Lake, and Fabric experience, along with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.

We're scaling fast, and we need an engineer who thinks in systems, communicates clearly, and treats client SLAs as non-negotiable.

Job Description:

Design Scalable Data Systems

Define and evolve architecture across the entire data estate, such as pipelines, Lakehouse, and semantic layersDesign ingestion frameworks for monitoring, observability, scalability, and reuseMake architectural decisions under constraints (cost, SLA, scale) while avoiding technical debtRoll up your sleeves to develop and maintain high-quality, reliable Microsoft Fabric pipelines and notebooks that directly support analytics and reporting.Ensure that data is accurate, timely, reliable, and trusted by stakeholders, catching problems before clients doOptimize refresh strategies and reduce compute spikes

Lead Data Modeling Standards

Design advanced dimensional models for multi-client scalabilityDefend modeling decisions in design reviewsEnsure consistency and reuse across the platform

Drive Engineering Excellence

Act as a role model for SDLC practices (Git, CI/CD, testing)Establish and enforce engineering standardsImprove development workflows and team efficiencyDeliver work iteratively with high quality and predictabilityShip frequently in small batch sizes

Lead Through Communication and Influence

Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholdersAlign engineering, BI, and business teamsMentor team members and elevate team performanceDo light documentation to build institutional memory

Standout Factors

This isn't a maintenance role or a "keep the lights on" position. You'll be shaping architecture in a platform that's still being built — which means your opinions matter, your patterns get adopted, and your fingerprints end up on something that scales.

As the client base grows, so does the scope. The senior engineer who steps into this role has a clear path toward owning the Analytics & BI architectural standards and platform strategy.

Qualifications

Required

5-8 years of data engineering experienceStrong SQL, data modeling, and hands-on Delta Lake experienceMicrosoft Fabric experience – you’ve built it, not just read about itDimensional modeling you can defend in a design reviewPower BI semantic model optimization expertiseA track record of building scalable ingestion frameworksA track record in client-facing or revenue-driven analytics environmentsUses critical thinking to break down ambiguous problems, evaluates tradeoffs, and makes sound, data-informed decisions that balance performance, scalability, and business impactStrong leadership skills, exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, that translate complex technical decisions for non-technical audiencesExperience working in agile environments using features and user storiesA growth mindset — you're energized by hard problems, not slowed down by them, strong team playerAgile mindset and development experienceGitHub-based development workflows and CI/CD experience
