Qualifications
Required
4–7 years of data engineering experienceStrong SQL and hands-on Delta Lake experienceMicrosoft Fabric experience that you’ve built, not just read aboutDimensional modeling you can defend in a design reviewPower BI semantic model optimization experienceExperience building scalable ingestion frameworksA track record in client-facing or revenue-driven analytics environmentsCritical thinking skillsExceptional communication skills, written and verbal, that translate complex technical decisions for non-technical audiencesA growth mindset, you're energized by hard problems, not slowed down by them, strong team playerPreferred
dbt experienceGitHub-based development workflows and CI/CD experienceAgile mindset and development experienceRole Impact
This isn't a maintenance role or a "keep the lights on" position. You'll be shaping architecture in a platform that's still being built, which means your opinions matter, your patterns get adopted, and your fingerprints end up on something that scales.
As the client base grows, so does the scope. The engineer who steps into this role has a clear path toward owning architectural standards and platform strategy.
You design for scale before scale is a problem. You write documentation people actually read. You understand that a slow dashboard isn't just a technical issue; it's a client relationship issue. And you're the kind of engineer who flags risks before they become incidents.
Growth Opportunity
As our client base grows, this role will assume greater responsibility for shaping architectural standards and platform scalability decisions. You'll report directly to the Director of Analytics & BI. We are a small, senior team, which means less bureaucracy, more ownership, and your work is visible immediately.
If you’re excited about building a scalable data platform that directly drives client success and revenue growth, we’d love to talk.
