We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to join our growing data and analytics team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, and modern cloud-based analytics platforms.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies to support business intelligence, reporting, analytics, and AI-driven initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable data engineering solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
Build and manage data pipelines, dataflows, and lakehouse architectures.
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data.
Work with OneLake, Data Factory, Synapse Data Engineering, and Power BI integration within Microsoft Fabric.
Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, ERP systems, cloud storage, and third-party applications.
Develop robust data models and transformation logic using Spark, SQL, and PySpark.
Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and security across the data platform.
Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, architects, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, workflows, and performance issues.
Implement CI/CD practices and automation for data engineering workflows.
Optimize storage, query performance, and compute utilization.
Support enterprise reporting and advanced analytics initiatives.
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to best practices for cloud data engineering.

Strong SQL programming skills.
Experience with PySpark / Spark.
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services:
Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Azure Synapse Analytics
Azure Data Lake
Azure SQL
Experience with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Good understanding of data governance and security principles.
Experience working with REST APIs and external integrations.
Familiarity with DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Preferred SkillsExperience with Databricks is an added advantage.
Knowledge of Power BI dashboards and DAX.
Exposure to real-time streaming and event-driven architectures.
Understanding of AI/ML data pipelines.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Educational QualificationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Experience5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or related Azure analytics ecosystem.
Soft SkillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
