Why does this role exist?
This role exists to administer, secure, and optimize Microsoft 365 environments for both internal operations and multiple client tenants within an MSP context. As client demand for secure, well-governed M365 services grows, the team needs dedicated expertise to ensure reliability, compliance, and exceptional user experience. The hire will strengthen customer service, streamline user lifecycle processes, and improve security posture across Microsoft cloud services.
The Impact you’ll makeMicrosoft 365 Administration and Optimization\nAdminister Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Defender, Purview, and Copilot readiness per Microsoft best practices.\nMonitor, diagnose, and resolve Microsoft 365 service issues to maintain uptime and reliability.\nConfigure tenants and services in alignment with organizational standards and service limits.\nIdentity, Access, and Licensing (Entra ID)\nManage users, roles, security groups, MFA, and Conditional Access in Entra ID.\nOversee M365 license assignment and optimization across SKUs with attention to compliance and cost.\nEnforce Microsoft security guidelines and internal access control procedures.\nEndpoint Management and Security\nImplement and maintain device and security policies using Intune and Defender.\nEnsure device enrollment, compliance, update rings, and risk remediation.\nAlign endpoint security with internal risk management protocols and Microsoft security frameworks.\nUser Lifecycle and Support\nExecute onboarding, offboarding, and provisioning with accurate record-keeping.\nProvide customer-facing support for Microsoft-related issues; manage tickets to SLA.\nCollaborate with internal technical teams and external vendors to resolve escalations.\nDocumentation, Collaboration, and Client Service\nCreate and maintain clear documentation for procedures, configurations, and fixes.\nCommunicate proactively and professionally with clients and stakeholders.\nContribute to continuous improvement of processes, standards, and knowledge base.\n
Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired:\nOne current certification required: MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator) or SC-300 (Identity & Access Administrator) or SC-401 (Information Security Administrator).\n2–3 years in an MSP or client-facing IT support environment.\nHands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Centers: Exchange, Intune, Entra, Purview, Security, SharePoint, and Teams.\nStrong understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing models and service limits.\nExcellent communication and documentation skills for client-facing work.\nWFH Set-Up:\nComputer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.\nInternet speed of at least 40MBPS\nHeadset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam\nBack-up computer and internet connection\nQuiet, dedicated workspace at home\n\n\nYour Superpowers:\nTechnical: Microsoft 365 tenant administration; Entra ID identity and access management; Intune and Defender policy management; Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams configuration; Purview/compliance and Defender for Cloud familiarity; Microsoft troubleshooting methodologies; readiness planning for Copilot.\nProfessional: Customer-centric communication, clear documentation, strong problem-solving, ownership mindset, collaboration across teams, ability to prioritize and follow through in a fast-paced MSP environment.\nYou should apply if… \nYou thrive in an MSP setting, enjoy helping clients, and communicate with clarity and professionalism.\nYou bring a security-first mindset, are detail-oriented, and document consistently.\nYou’re proactive, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning in the Microsoft cloud.\nYou can reliably work U.S. Eastern Time hours and deliver on SLAs with pride.\n\nWhat to expect...
