Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Microbiology Lab Technician to join our dynamic team in a state-of-the-art 74,000 square foot laboratory. The successful candidate will perform USP 61 and 62 testing on pharmaceutical products and support the Micro team through various laboratory tasks. This role offers opportunities for growth within the microbiology team and the chance to train on a variety of microbiology techniques, with potential advancement to a Microbiologist position.

ResponsibilitiesPerform USP 61 and 62 testing on pharmaceutical products.Prepare and sterilize media using aseptic techniques during sample preparation.Recognize malfunctions in laboratory equipment and notify management or perform simple repairs.Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain laboratory housekeeping.Follow procedures related to data documentation, laboratory safety, and good laboratory practices.Train on USP 61 and USP 62, as well as potential training on LAL testing and other microbiology techniques.Essential Skills1-2 years of microbiology experience (school/industry).Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Microbiology.Minimum 6 months experience with aseptic technique.Preferred 6 months experience with Bioburden.GMP Lab experience, minimum 6 months.USP testing experience (food, pharma, device, etc.).Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with USP-61 or USP-62 is highly desirable.Experience within pharmaceuticals, medical device, or third-party testing labs.Experience from Diebel, Certified labs, or SGS is preferred.Work Environment

The current Bio department consists of about 20 team members. The labs are separated but maintain close collaboration with the R&D and Chemistry labs. It is a very clean environment. The standard work hours are on the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 3 pm to 12 am. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
