Job Description

This position operates within a cGMP compliant QC Microbiology Laboratory, supporting the manufacture of biological products. The role involves performing microbiological testing and analysis to ensure product quality and adherence to regulatory standards. Core tasks include sample preparation, media preparation, and data analysis, all conducted while maintaining a safe and compliant laboratory environment.

ResponsibilitiesPerform microbiological tests such as bioburden, endotoxin, microbial limits/growth, and other USP compendia methods.Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.Prepare media and reagents for testing.Follow and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Document test results accurately and thoroughly.Maintain a safe working environment at all times.Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, often coordinating with other scientists and quality control personnel.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in a STEM field, preferably Biology.Proficient in aseptic techniques.6 months to 1 year of GMP Microbiology experience, not necessarily in pharmaceuticals.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with USP compendia methods from the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.Familiarity with environmental monitoring and laboratory protocols.Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive work environment.Work Environment

This role requires an initial 2-month training period, Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Post-training, the position transitions to a Wednesday-Saturday schedule, with 4-10 hour shifts from 7 am to 5 pm, offering flexibility if needed. The role may require gowning at certain times and provides a 12.5% shift differential. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $31.00/hr.
