In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems, you ll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.
The candidate will acquire product knowledge, use, and advance their technical skills while performing their assigned responsibilities in the product development on advanced projects.
BAE Systems, Electronic Systems, and the C4ISR Electronic team are seeking a talented and motivated RF Engineer with more than ten years of experience, to work in the design, development, and test of complex RF Systems. The position is for a Sr Principal RF Engineer II.
The duties assigned to theSr Principal RF Engineer II, and their responsibilities include:
+ This person should have a strong background in Electrical Engineering and expert understanding of RF principles and concepts.
+ Strong background in Microelectronic circuits preferred.
+ An understanding of the design process, including requirements, circuit design, schematic capture, circuit layout and simulation using proven industry CAD tools is required.
+ Support tasks such as familiarity with parts procurement, component assembly, fabrication processes and circuit test using standard lab equipment are preferred.
+ The candidate shall be able to perform well within a team environment and possess good written and communication skills.
+ Ability to interface with Mechanical and Systems Engineering is required.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status and the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Masters degree in Engineering with 10 years of Experience
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in microelectronics engineering, with a focus on design, development, and testing of microelectronic systems and components
+ Strong knowledge of microelectronic design principles, including circuit analysis, device physics, and semiconductor manufacturing processes
+ Experience with microelectronic fabrication processes, including wafer processing, packaging, and testing
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead
+ RF/Microwave system, Microelectronics, module and circuit design and development
+ Support of test and troubleshooting systems, modules and/or sub-assemblies, working directly with Program Engineering personnel as required
+ Generate and review the technical content of test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, Engineering Change Orders, and other documentation
+ Thorough experience with microwave testing using Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Synthesizers, Power Meters, etc.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Master s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 8 years of Experience
+ Experience in design and development of microelectronic systems and components, including analog and digital circuits, mircroprocessors, and embedded systems
+ Experience conducting simulations, modeling, and testing of microelectronic systems and circuits
+ Ability to troubleshoot and debug microelectronic systems and circuits to resolve technical issues
+ Generate and implement improvements in product and test design and methodologies to reduce cost, increase yield, and improve throughput
+ Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test reports, and user manuals
+ Mentor peers, Technicians and junior Engineers in areas of expertise
+ Interface with Engineering, Operations, Quality and other supporting functions to drive defect resolution to root cause
+ Experience presenting technical information to program teams and/or customers
+ Design and analysis of microwave systems and circuits using Agilent Advanced Design Suite (ADS)
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
