About the Role
The MICE Manager leads the hotel’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events segment. Responsible for achieving the MICE revenue budget, this role focuses on business development, relationship management, and the seamless handover of large-scale, high-value events to operations. The MICE Manager drives strategy implementation and supports the Event Sales Coordinator to ensure excellence in client service and event execution.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute the annual MICE business plan to achieve departmental revenue goals.
· Manage the sales process for large and strategic MICE events.
· Drive new business development by identifying and cultivating relationships with key corporate accounts, DMCs, PCOs, and associations.
· Lead proposal preparation and contract negotiations for high-value groups.
· Collaborate with Revenue and FB to create competitive packages and pricing structures.
· Oversee the Event Sales Coordinator’s work and ensure smooth coordination across departments.
· Supervise event planning quality and operational handovers to ensure consistency.
· Conduct regular site inspections and host familiarization (FAM) trips for potential clients.
· Represent the hotel at MICE trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to expand brand presence and business pipeline.
· Monitor KPIs — conversion rate, pipeline value, revenue by segment, and repeat business.
· Conduct post-event reviews and client follow-ups to identify rebooking opportunities and performance improvements.
· Prepare and present monthly MICE reports, including market insights and competitor analysis.
· Ensure departmental compliance with Hyatt brand standards and internal SOPs for proposals, contracts, and event delivery.
· Coach and develop the Event Sales Coordinator, fostering professional growth and continuous improvement.
