The Opportunity:
As a MH-47 Civilian Flight Crewmember Instructor, you will assist in preparing and presenting flight crewmember instruction to students on topics within the scope of the curriculum.
Responsibilities:
Train NCOs, Soldiers, Government, Partner Nation and Contractor rotary wing crew members in the knowledge and skills specific to SOA.
Provide flight and academic instruction for qualification as Basic Mission Qualified Non-Rated Crewmembers in Special Operations MH-47 helicopters.
Provide training in the following: 1) day, night, and night vision goggle flight; 2) mission tasks such as fast rope infiltration, hoist, and gunnery; 3) environmental training (desert, mountain, overwater, and urban); 4) air to air refueling; and 4) deck landing operations.
Provide SOA Basic Mission Qualification (BMQ) instruction (flight and classroom) and provide proficiency certification of all non-rated crewmembers (NRCMs).
Prepare and present flight crewmember instruction to students on topics within the scope of the curriculum.
Perform crew chief duties or operator level maintenance (to recover to airfield) on aircraft.
Perform crew duties during training support flights, recovery flights, demonstration flights, and maintenance test flights when approved by the Government Flight Representative (GFR).
Assist with firing range duties per CAMREG 385-5.
Assist with accurate completion of crewmember flight records to document all training.
Drive military vehicles as required.
Qualifications:
Required:
Secret Security Clearance.
Two years’ experience as a Cargo Helicopter Crewmember (15U- Chinook Helicopter Repairer) on MH-47 helicopters.
Served as a FMQ Non-rated Standardization Instructor (SI) or Fully Mission Qualified Non-rated Flight Instructor (FI) in an Army Special Operation helicopter.
500 flight hours minimum in MH-47 helicopters.
250 flight hours minimum with Night Vision Goggles (NVG).
Qualified in Dunker and Emergency Breathing Device (HEEDS).

The proposed salary range for this position is:
